The Wilberforce Trust is proud of our past supporting people with sight loss including those with other disabilities since 1833. Its strength has always been in building for the future and transforming and adapting to the times we live in.

Our vision is that by 2021, The Wilberforce Trust will be able to support any person with sight or hearing loss including those with other disabilities and their families who need expertise and specialised support. To be an enabler for people to gain confidence, live as independently as they can and contribute positively to our communities, turning their ambitions into reality.

To achieve this with are embarking on a major transformation plan, that by 2021 will see £7million worth of investment to build 30 new purpose built apartments including a new Living and Learning Zone and a new and exciting  look. To capture the essence of what we want to achieve we are launching our new brand, colours and a new website. This will help people recognise us, whilst knowing that our heart for what we do is still as big today as it has always been.

We are excited to hear that so many people want to help us to provide a place with more choice for educational and fun activities, whilst supporting the emotional and practical needs faced by sight and hearing loss. So with that we say ‘let’s do more let’s do it together’. What really mattersis that we tell people about sight and hearing loss and the help and support is there now and into the future.

Please look out for the news and the opportunities as now our priority is to attract likeminded individuals and organisations that can get involved and make a difference to be a part of creating the new Wilberforce Trust Living and Learning Zone.
