Every First and Third Tuesday Drop in for the Deaf Community at West Office – 1pm – 4pm
Our drop in occurs every first and third Tuesday at West Office. Offering support guidance with issues such as accessing Housing Services or getting advice about contacting utility companies.

Children’s Sensory Session, 10am – 12pm
For children with multiple disabilities including learning disabilities and sight loss. Cost £5 per session.
10th and 24th March
Babies and infants Sensory Session, 10am – 12pm
For babies and infants (from birth to 3 years) with disabilities including autism, learning disabilities and sight loss. Cost £5 per session.
12th and 26th March
Appreciate the sights, sounds, smells and tactile nature of the multi-sensory room. Relax and unwind in the peaceful surroundings or interact with the specialist equipment – the choice is yours.

13th and 27th March
Active Sensory Session
A unique exercise class that combines the pleasure of the sensory room with the fun of an interactive games session. Sessions include warm up and cool down in the tranquil surroundings of our recently installed sensory room with 45 minutes plus of activities designed for those who can’t usually access sport.
1:30pm – 2:45pm
£10 per person.
Poetry for All, Unitarian Chapel
As part of the York Literature Festival we are proud to sponsor a fully accessible poetry event with BSL interpretation and Big Screen projection of the poems. Support dogs welcome.
Tickets are £5.50 on the door or can be booked via eventbrite ( a small booking fee applies for online bookings)
Join us at Wilberforce house for our next Deaf Cafe. The cafe runs from 10:30qm – 12:30pm and is a great opportunity to come and meet other people who are deaf or have hearing loss.
