Every Tuesday Drop in for the Deaf Community at West Office – 1pm – 4pm

Our drop in occurs every Tuesday at West Office. Offering support guidance with issues such as accessing Housing Services or getting advice about contacting utility companies.

1st November

Music Night

Music Night is a chance for those with disabilities and/or sight loss to get together socially, listening to and joining together in singing popular songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and more. A cycle of live bands, individual musicians and karaoke nights.

7pm to 8.30pm.

2nd November

Karaoke Friday

With a huge selection of songs to choose from there is something to suit all tastes.

10am – 11:30am

3rd and 17th November

Children’s Sensory Session, 10am – 12pm

For children with multiple disabilities including learning disabilities and sight loss. Cost £5 per session.

4th November

Babies and infants Sensory Session, 10am – 12pm

For babies and infants (from birth to 3 years) with disabilities including autism, learning disabilities and sight loss. Cost £5 per session.

5th and 19th November

Private Sensory Sessions

Call Bob to book the sensory room for a private session.

6th and 20th November

Sensory Session

Appreciate the sights, sounds, smells and tactile nature of the multi-sensory room. Relax and unwind in the peaceful surroundings or interact with the specialist equipment – the choice is yours.

10am – 12 noon & 1pm – 3pm

£5 per session

6th November

Yorsensory outreach unit will be at Dringhouses Library – 10.30am—2.00pm

Come along for free advice, support and information on living with sight loss, hearing loss or both. Our team are happy to answer your questions for you, friends and family.

7th and 21st November

Active Sensory

Activites may include floor basket ball and parachute activities with tactile, light up and ringing balls, and chair exercises for people with limited sight and/or mobility, including wheelchair users. Cool down uses meditation mood music for relaxation.

This month we will be joined by the ‘Energy Doctor’ Kate Urwin – Who will be discussing ways to make the most of your energy and ways to reduce your bills.

Bring a recent bill from your current supplier to seek the best advice.

24th November

Christmas Fayre 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Our annual Christmas Fayre at the Folk Hall. Come along for refreshments, tombola, and our Grand prize raffle.
