Evey Tuesday Drop in for the Deaf Community at West Office – 1pm – 4pm

Our drop in occurs every Tuesday at West Office. Offering support guidance with issues such as accessing Housing Services or getting advice about contacting utility companies.

Please note on August 21st there will be no drop in. We apologies for any inconvenience.

Active Sensory

Activites may include floor basket ball and parachute activities with tactile, light up and ringing balls, and chair exercises for people with limited sight and/or mobility, including wheelchair users. Cool down uses meditation mood music for relaxation.

Music Night

Music Night is a chance for those with disabilities and/or sight loss to get together socially, listening to and joining together in singing popular songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and more. A cycle of live bands, individual musicians and karaoke nights.

7pm to 8.30pm.

Karaoke Friday

With a huge selection of songs to choose from there is something to suit all tastes.

Yorsensory outreach unit at Celebrating Ability Open Day. Tuesday 7th August at Energise. Come along and try out a range of sports and activities for those with a disability, who are deaf or have a sensory impairment or additional needs.

The event costs £4.10 (you can come for one session, several sessions or stay all day).

Technology Drop in

Drop in and see us anytime between 10:30 and 2pm. Bring your device, try out our devices if you don’t have one and are wondering about the benefits, and ask questions in a friendly helpful environment. Learn how to use the features that will best suit you, and find out more about the services you may find useful.

Call Bob to book the sensory room for a private session.

Sensory Session

Appreciate the sights, sounds, smells and tactile nature of the multi-sensory room. Relax and unwind in the peaceful surroundings or interact with the specialist equipment – the choice is yours.

10am – 12 noon & 1pm – 3pm

Children’s Sensory Session, 10am – 12pm

For children with multiple disabilities including learning disabilities and sight loss. Cost £5 per session.

12th August

Babies and infants Sensory Session, 10am – 12pm

For babies and infants (from birth to 3 years) with disabilities including autism, learning disabilities and sight loss. Cost £5 per session.

16th August

Tinnitus Support Group 2pm – 4pm

Christine Farion, Assistive Technology Advisor at the Wilberforce Trust will be talking about technology to help manage Tinnitus and demonstrating sound apps.

17th August

Afternoon Tea – 1pm – 2pm

As part of Afternoon Tea week join us for sandwiches, cakes and teas. Donations welcome.

19th August

Wilberforce Trust Motorcycle show – come down to the Wilberforce trust 10am – 2pm and view some great motorbikes. Any motorcycle, any age. Display your bike for just £5.

25th August
