After months of fundraising, designing and tweaking we are thrilled to finally have the Mobile Outreach Unit on the road.
After our launch in February there were a few obstacles that prevented us from getting the Mobile Unit on the road. Today though it is out and about and we are over the moon.
The team are out today as part of the RNIB’s Making Noise in Libraries Fortnight. They have taken the Mobile Unit to Acomb Library this morning and at York Explore in the city centre this afternoon. Our Community Sensory Officers are there to provide support, infomation and advice on living with sight loss, hearing loss or both.
Come along to the libraires and find out more about the services we offer and how the team can support you.
