We have been working together with York Literature Festival to provide a range of accessible events as part of the 2018 festival.
The literature festival has been an annual event in York for over ten years, offering a wide range of events including poetry, story telling, readings and theatrical productions.
This year we are proud to be sponsors of their Poetry for All – Accessible Poetry event. The event includes a British Sign Language interpreter and large screen projection of poems plus space for assistive animals and carers.
The event includes performances from featured poets and the oppurtunity to perform your own poem too.
Featured poets are: Raymond Antrobus, Donna Williams (DeafFirefly), and York’s own Imogen Godwin!
This is an exciting and new poetry event which should be a great evening of spoken word for all to enjoy.
To book tickets vist the York Theatre Royal or call 01904 623568.
If you would like to book a slot to perform your poetry please contact 07914271871.
*The event takes place in Clements Hall, which is accessible to wheelchairs.
