The end of September marks the beginning of the 13th annual York 50+ Festival. The festival runs for two weeks, promoting services, advice, support and social groups for York residents who are over 50.

As the population ages the number of people living with sight loss, hearing loss or both increases. At the Wilberforce Trust we offer a range of services providing support and advice for anyone living with any degree of sight loss, hearing loss or both. From our low vision clinic to tech advice and an equipment demonstration centre we are here to support your needs.

On Tuesday 12th September the 50+ festival holds it’s information fair. The information fair offers advice and information stands from groups and organisations working with people over 50. The Wilberforce Trust stand will be at the St Sampson centre.

If you are worried about your sight or hearing or would like to find out more about the work we do then please come down and say hello. We will be in the St Sampson’s centre from 10am – 3pm.
