New faces are greeting visitors to the Wilberforce head office, including people coming to the Low Vision Clinic, and new voices are generally answering the telephone. After some 18 years, the familiar face of Judith has retired to a ‘back room’ where she is now assisting the Chief Executive.

Jacqui Wilson has taken over as Office Manager and Carol Snowden is, as Administrative Assistant, her “co-driver” – as Jacqui puts it.

Jacqui comes from a banking background, finishing 17 years with the Yorkshire Bank as Office Manager in business banking having started as a cashier, then branch manager and after that assistant area manager in retail banking. Jacqui has two daughters – Poppy aged six and Darcy, 10 months.

Carol has previously been an office manager but most recently spent four years as a carer in a care home environment. She has a daughter, Jennifer, and son Andrew, both ‘grown up’.
